City of Fairfax Friends & Neighbors,

I hope this message finds you filled with memories of a wonderful summer season in the City of Fairfax, including the 4th of July festivities, Rock the Block, ice cream treats with friends at the pool—not to mention BBQs and summer camp.

Amidst all the summer fun, many residents in our City experienced numerous power outages. Just as it has been frustrating for me and my family, I know it has been extremely frustrating for the many residents in these neighborhoods. Your City Council is working diligently to find effective solutions to these power reliability issues.

On Tuesday, October 1, there will be a work session on this issue at City Hall. In addition to the mayor, city council, and city staff, we have invited representatives from Dominion Power as well as our state legislators and their staff to join us for a discussion on the ongoing power reliability issues.

Please join us in Council Chambers at 7 PM to hear about these updates. If you are unable to attend you can watch on Channel 12 or on our City website.  Please feel free to contact me at jenniferforfairfax@gmail.com or follow my City Council page on Facebook.

I look forward to working with you this fall!
